SAT 2006 preparation time

ATFS helps high school students to get ready for SAT. The new SAT has a writing test as well as critical reading and Math sections. Even though SAT is all about testing students for what they have learnt in school, those who take formal training in SAT perform better at it than those who don't. During SAT training a student is tested for all sections and assessed for Math concepts clarification levels, sentence completion, reading comprehension, essays, sentence and paragraph correction level. Individual attention is given to gaps that need to be filled for each student. SAT training is best done in a one - on- one setting.

Start Date: March 4th, 2006
Duration: 13 Saturdays
Time: 11 - 1p.m.
Assessment: scheduled 3.5 hours before March 4th
Target SAT Date: June 3rd, 2006
Fee: Registration: $20.00
       Assessment: $60.00 (3.5 hours)
       March: $240.00 (4 Saturdays)
       April: $300.00 (5 Saturdays)
       May: $240.00 (4 Saturdays)

Math Foundation Contests 2006 - enrollments are picking up

Aadhaarshila – The Foundation Stone will be conducting our 2nd annual Math Foundation Contests for Children of Grades K – 10 on Saturday , April 29th , 2006 at ATFS Learning Center in Shrewsbury, MA starting at 11:00 a.m. **The Contest will be held for 6 different levels
Level A1 – Grades KG (non readers)
Level A – Grades KG and 1 (readers)*
Level 1 – Grades 2 and 3 *
Level 2 – Grades 4 and 5 *
Level 3 – Grades 6,7, and 8 *
Level 4 – Grades 9 and 10 *
* Grades weightage will be applied for fair evaluation within a level
** your exact time may vary. Test schedules will be announced after all enrollments have been received. The Contest Rules are available on the website. Topics covered per level are on our website. Enrollment fee is $25.00 per participant. Sample papers are available at additional cost ($10.00) but are not mandatory. To enroll, please fill out the form on our website. All information is essential for ATFS as well as non ATFS Students. Please mail the completed form with enrollment fee of $25.00. Please make check payable to ATFS Learning Center,433 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA – 01545.
Last Date to enroll is April 10th, 2006.
Any enrollments received after last date must include a $5.00 late charge.
Late enrollments will be accepted only until April 20th, 2006

Gearing up- Summer camps at ATFS

We at ATFS Learning Center are gearing up for an exciting summer ahead. We hope to include some real fun, hands on learning activities for your children. This year will also be a little different as far as enrollments are concerned. We are removing the condition of mandatory 4 weeks. We will be more flexible so children can enroll for one or more weeks at a time. This also means that these will get filled up faster, so start planning now. Details for the summer camps will be released during the first week of March. Please watch the website, and our newsletters for further information.
At this time, we are also inviting parents and other enthusiastic team members to join in and contribute to the enrichment programs during the summer. If you can devote one hour a week from July 10th through August 25th (7 weeks) and have a skill to share, lets talk. Some ideas are; hands on science activities, yoga, music, crafts, art, projects, writing, languages, board games..

Those enrolling for the Chemistry workshops, the first one begins March 11th. We will only accept applications till the 4th of March. Please rush in your enrollments as seats will be filled up on a first cum first serve basis.
