Introduction

LA includes Spelling, Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension. We achieve this through our After School programs where the children get guidance to perform to their fullest potential. Good quality homework in LA not only develops confidence but also builds desire to get even better. Most of the times the problem is that children do not know what is expected from them. With our after school training, these guidelines are set very clearly and performance through improvement is unavoidable. ATFS also provides self study Take Out materials in LA including grammar, reading comprehension and spelling and cursive handwriting. A lot of children who spend academic time with their parents or other tutors at home can benefit from these materials. ATFS also offers courses during the year. These are available on Saturdays. Some of them are listed below.

 Reading Comprehension

The ability to effectively read is critical to the success of a student in any subject area. Yet many students experience difficulty in mastering this skill. Engaging students in active reading practices can help them become more involved in their reading, thus aiding comprehension and retention. Analytic reading involves breaking a text into its component parts, in order to understand its meaning and relate it to other texts. While critical to success in school, this skill is lacking in most students. ATFS Reading comprehension workbooks teaches reading, analysis, spelling, vocabulary and writing skills all in one capsule.
Program: Take out
Duration: 6 months
Workbooks: 6
Fee: $270.00 for 6 workbooks

 Curriculum

ATFS teachers find an excellent way to strengthen reading, critical thinking and writing skills. The wordly wise programs help build hundreds of new vocabulary words through interesting and enjoyable exercises. As they read the words in context, apply their meanings to different situations and respond to the reading comprehension questions in sentences, the students make the words their own. The exercises give students practice in recognizing the words and their meanings in different contexts. In addition to asking students to match the words with their definitions, the exercises include identifying categories and applying the meanings of the words.
We also offer Reading comprehension and Spelling and Vocabulary lessons through our Remote Learning environment.
