Focus

Accelerated learning program is an excellent way to keep your child challenged. Focus of the program is to provide a channel for the kids to move ahead of their grade level. It provides the additional challenge that they may not get in schools. The pace and depth is determined by the child's ability. Practice worksheets from their individual packets are completed in a one on one setting. The goal is to introduce concepts early on and master them through enough practice. Each child has an independent developmental rate. They may be moved within groups accordingly. Small group settings promote active interaction as well as a motivating pace.

 Grades

Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4
Focus: ATFS work plan including Math workbooks, Cursive writing, Reading Comprehension and Spelling tests
Group size: 8 - 10 children
Fee: Av. $100.00 per month (3 classes) prorated each month based on # of classes.

Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8
Focus: ATFS work plan including Math workbook, Cursive writing, Reading Comprehension and Science workbooks and Language Arts.
Group size: 8 - 10 children
Fee: Av. $125.00 per month (3 classes) prorated each month based on # of classes.

For each grade level , expectations are set using work plans based on ATFS curriculum. Weekly targets are assigned to individual children. Between classes, we recommend spending half hour to 45 minutes on ATFS work each day. In the next class, their work is submitted, questions answered, new concepts learnt and worked upon. They come home with satisfied minds and eagerness to practice what they have learnt.

Saturday (Sept thru May)
Elementary grades 1 - 4: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Middle Grades 5 - 8 : 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.


Progress Reports:
Progress is monitored and monthly progress reports are given to parents through the workbook scores. In addition for Basic Math, certificates and medals are awarded on successful completion of a topic  and trophies are awarded on graduating to the next level as defined in the ATFS rewards policies.

Attendance:
Any planned vacation or days off must be communicated to us at the beginning of the month.  
Any unscheduled day off must be communicated to us at least 24 hours in advance. 
For the missed class – worksheets may be picked up from the center to do at home or a make up class may be scheduled in the available slot on a week day preferably during the same month.

 

  Payment & Fees

There will be a registration fee of $20.00 for the academic year for each enrollment. Invoices are given in time for payments each month. Regardless of that, Non refundable payment checks , payable to ATFS  will  be due on the 1st of each month.  The first payment is due at  the time of enrollment. For all other payments, a late charge of $5.00 will be imposed on any payments made after the 5th of each month and before the 10th; $10.00 for payments made between the 11th and 20th; $20 for payments made between 20th and 31st.
