Focus

Accelerated learning program or Saturday Math club is an excellent way to keep your child challenged and engaged in 'thinking' Math. Focus of the program is to provide a unique way of learning using Singapore Math techniques. Singapore Math has been rated as the number one Math program by the IEA ( International Association for the evaluation of Education Achievement) Standard Singapore Math text books/workbooks are followed in a classroom setting. The goal is to introduce concepts in a spiral and visual fashion and relate them to US Math that is taught to kids in school.

 Grades

Grades  KG, 1 & 2

Grades  2, 3 & 4

Grades 5, 6, and 7
setting: small group
Fee: $125.00 per month (3 classes) 

Grades 8,9 and 10
Focus: Algebra 1 or Geometry
setting: small group setting
Fee: $150.00 per month

For each grade level , expectations are set using Singapore Math textbooks based on ATFS curriculum. Weekly targets are assigned to individual children. Between classes, we recommend spending half hour to 45 minutes on ATFS work each day. In the next class, their work is submitted, questions answered, new concepts learnt and worked upon. They come home with satisfied minds and eagerness to practice what they have learnt.   
    
Optional: ATFS Math workbooks in addition to Singapore Math work may be picked up at the center and worked upon at no additional fee. This option is recommended only if your child can handle more work.

Saturday (Sept thru May)
Elementary grades K - 4: 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Middle Grades 5 - 7 : 12 noon. - 1:00 p.m.
Algebra: Grades 8 - 10: 12 noon. - 1:00 p.m.
Geometry Grades 8 - 10 : 12 noon. - 1:00 p.m.


Additional subjects:
Science, Language Arts, Reading and Spelling work is also available per ATFS curriculum. Sign up is required for these subjects at an additional fee of $25.00 per month per subject. Progress of the ATFS subjects is monitored through monthly tests and workbook scores. In addition for Basic Math, and Science, certificates and medals are awarded on successful completion of a subject  and trophies are awarded on graduating to the next level as defined in the ATFS rewards policies.

Attendance:
Any planned vacation or days off must be communicated to us at the beginning of the month.  
Any unscheduled day off must be communicated to us at least 24 hours in advance. 
For the missed class – worksheets may be picked up from the center to do at home or a make up class may be scheduled in the available slot on a week day preferably during the same month.

 

  Payment & Fees

There will be a registration fee of $20.00 for the academic year for each enrollment. Invoices are given in time for payments each month. Regardless of that, Non refundable payment checks , payable to ATFS  will  be due on the 1st of each month.  The first payment is due at  the time of enrollment. For all other payments, a late charge of $5.00 will be imposed on any payments made after the 5th of each month and before the 10th; $10.00 for payments made between the 11th and 20th; $20 for payments made between 20th and 31st.  No refunds are given.
