Introduction

Singapore Math is rated as the number one Math program by the IEA - International Association for Evaluation of Education Achievement. Singapore Math uses a unique spiral approach which is a little more effective than the 'spiral' approach learnt in schools. While in school your child re-learns a concept each year before advancing to further depths, In Singapore Math once learnt is learnt forever. The bar model replicates your child's thinking and problem solving approach on paper. When you draw it out, they say, "yes. that's exactly how I did it." It helps them refine their own strategy for problem solving. Eventually, they learn to 'think Math' rather than just look for word clues in the problems. Visualization expands their minds to unimaginable depths. The sequencing of topics is done in a manner that makes logical sense. Once they learn a topic, related topics are presented with much ease. Grade limitations are gradually removed and a middle school child is no longer afraid of SAT problems. For all of the above reasons and one more - we've  seen it work, ATFS has decided to offer Singapore Math Club on Saturdays for children of all ages.  3 Saturdays in a month per our official calendar our Math geniuses will meet to learn , apply, and satisfy their Math appetite.

Club Details

Groups by grade : K - 10 kids are grouped by their current grade
Setting: kids work in small group settings to learn new concepts and approach to problem solving. they challenge themselves with creative word problems
Time: 11 - 12 noon (K - 4)
         12 - 1 p.m. (5 - 10)
Days: 3 Saturdays in a month
Cost: $100.00 per month (K - 4)
        $125.00 per month (5 - 7)
        $150.00 per month (8 - 10)

All children enrolled for the Math Club may choose any one subject from ATFS curriculum at no additional fee.

Spelling and Vocabulary (Grades k - 8)
Language Arts (Grades 2 - 8)

Additional subject Fee: $25 per subject per month

Payment: Required at the time of registration. No refunds or make up classes available.  Monthly fee due 1st of every month.
